VB 2008 - Creating a register screen using files

Hi all

As part of my Computing Coursework, I have to create an application according to a specified scenario, which you can read below:
Training Log.pdf

We were working on virtual machines running WinXP, and due to an accident my work was completely deleted. I started again a few weeks previously and decided to approach the scenario completely differently. Instead I would create the application using files, storing the records on a text files. However, I have had a couple of issues. First of all, when I run/debug, I can fill out the ''register'' screen and click ''send to file''. Although VB does write the file, for some reason if I ran the application again and fill out different details, rather than creating a new text file, it simply replaces the old info with the new. Additionally, the field titles do not appear on the text file, all that appears is the information entered into the text boxes.

Here are screenshots of the code I used:
Name: structure.PNG
Views: 5
Size: 12.0 KB

Name: Proceed code.jpg
Views: 5
Size: 21.5 KB

Can anyone see where I am going wrong?

Also, I have created a login screen but do not know how to make it so that the ID number and password typed into the register screen are what is required to proceed.

Apologies for sounding dumb... I suppose everyone was a beginner once... and thanks everyone in advance :)
